With a suddenly-aware-of-her-surroundings 4 month old around (who seems to love elmo already), this video gets a lot of play in our house. I too loved Sesame Street as a kid, back when it was just Sesame Street & Mr. Rogers back to back to back to back all day (until it was Frugal Gourmet time). What I missed back then was the blatant (and hysterical) sarcastic wit of Snuffy and Big Bird. Seriously. Worth a watch.
My two favorites:
1. When they ask what Elmo's song is called, and Elmo says "Elmo's Song," Snuffy and Big Bird say "Oh, clever title - wish I'd thought of that."
2. As Elmo starts singing the chorus, which is "la la la, la la la la," Big Bird says "And to think, he wrote this alone!"
