In the summer of 1994, my dad came home with the Cracked Rear View album. I was stoked, and I think neither of us could believe that the other person even knew who they were. Dad took off the plastic wrap, I took off with the CD, and I'm honestly not sure that he ever had it in possession after that.

For 15 years, the song "Hold my Hand" has had the following lyrics:
