Yesterday, my Ni-NTA column for purifying protein was greenish-brown. It's supposed to be blue. I followed a set of directions yesterday and today to help me turn it back to blue. Honestly, I didn't think it would work. The easy stuff never seems to work for me.

But it worked... It's so wonderfully blue. One point for science.

Hey Jen - I never thought I'd be glad to hear you are blue. Keep up the great work! I spent the last few days at Oak Ridge Labs in Tennesee. Some of the folks their looked very serious. Perhaps their solution turned brown?
